Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE



1. Remove the center air deflectors.




2. Remove the screws from the center air deflector housing.
3. Remove the center air deflector housing.




4. Rotate the steering wheel in order to expose the screw location on the upper steering column cover.
5. Remove the screw cover and the screw from left side of the upper steering column cover.
6. Rotate the steering wheel in order to expose the right side of the cover.
7. Remove the screw cover and the screw from the right side of the upper steering column cover.
8. Remove the upper column cover from the steering column.




9. Remove the screw from upper column cover collar. This screw also retains the bottom of the instrument cluster.
10. Remove the collar from the upper column.
11. Remove the screw from the right side of the instrument cluster.




12. Dislodge the right side of the instrument cluster.
13. Remove the wiring harness connector (1) from right side of the cluster (2).
14. Slide the cluster to the right sufficiently in order to allow the left side of the cluster to clear the left vent housing.
15. Remove the wiring harness connector from the left side of the cluster.
16. Gently remove the cluster from the mounting location.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Install the cluster into the mounting position by inserting the left side of the cluster into the left vent housing.
2. Install the wiring harness connector into the left side of the cluster.
3. Install the wiring harness connector (1) to the cluster (2).
4. Install the cluster in the carrier.





NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

5. Install the screw to the right side of the instrument cluster.

Tighten
Tighten the screw until seated but not stripped.

6. Install the collar to the upper column.
7. Install the collar screw to the collar.

Tighten
Tighten the collar screw until seated but not stripped.




8. Install the upper column cover to the steering column.
9. Rotate the steering wheel in order to expose the right side of the cover of the upper steering column.
10. Install the right screw to the column cover.

Tighten
Tighten the screw until seated but not stripped.

11. Install the right screw cover to the upper steering column cover.
12. Rotate the steering wheel in order to expose the left cover screw location.
13. Install the left screw to the column cover.

Tighten
Tighten the screw until seated but not stripped.

14. Install the left screw cover to the upper steering column cover.




15. Install the center air deflector housing.
16. Install the screws to the center air deflector housing.




17. Install the center air deflectors.
18. Reprogram the accessaries.
19. Reprogram the instrument cluster. Using the scan tool, follow the instructions on the display screen.
20. Verify the cluster operation.
