Instrument Panel Storage Compartment - Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE



1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Open the instrument panel (IP) compartment box.
3. Remove the right access panel.




4. Remove the outer air deflector screw.




5. Remove the outer air deflector




6. Remove the lower module cover screws.




7. Remove the 4 screws from the front IP compartment.




8. Remove the 2 screws from the side of IP compartment.
9. Disconnect the lamp switch and the lamp wiring connections from the IP compartment.
10. Remove the cool air hose from the rear of IP compartment.
11. Remove the IP compartment from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Install the IP compartment to the vehicle.
2. Install the cool air hose to the rear of the IP compartment.
3. Connect the lamp switch and the lamp wire connectors to the IP compartment.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the 4 screws to the front of the IP compartment.

Tighten
Tighten the screws until fully seated but not striped.




5. Install the 2 screws to the side of the IP compartment.

Tighten
Tighten the screws until fully seated but not stripped.




6. Install the screws to the lower module cover.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 8 N.m (71 lb in).




7. Install the outer air deflector.




8. Install the outer air deflector screw.




9. Install the right access panel.
10. Close the IP compartment door.
11. Enable the SIR system.
