Automatic Climate Control

The climate control system automatically regulates and maintains the Inside air temperatures from 18°C (65°F) to 29°C (85°F) regardless of the changes in the ambient air temperature. Settings of 16°C (60°F) and 32°C (90°F) provide unregulated heating and cooling.

The heater and A/C control is used for selecting a comfort level. The other main components that comprise the climate control system are the heater and A/C programmer, sometimes referred to as the air control module (ACM), powertrain control module (PCM), temperature sensors, HVAC module, and the refrigeration system.

The climate control system is most easily understood if it is divided into four categories. These are:

^ General Operation.
^ Air Delivery System.
^ Refrigeration System.
^ Temperature Control System.
