Passenger Side A/C Temperature Sensor

Caution: This vehicle has a Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) System. Refer to SIR Component Views in order to determine whether you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring. When you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring, refer to SERVICE AND REPAIR in SIR. Failure to follow the CAUTIONS could cause air bag deployment, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs.

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the right (passenger) side sound insulator positive locking tabs.
2. Remove the sound insulator.
3. Disconnect the right (passenger) side front floor air outlet fastening clip.
4. Remove the front floor air outlet.
5. Remove the mode valve (floor) actuator.
6. Turn the temperature sensor (1) 180 degrees.
7. Carefully remove the temperature sensor from the air distribution module.
8. Disconnect the electrical connection from the temperature sensor.

Installation Procedure

1. Connect the electrical connection to the temperature sensor.
2. Carefully insert the temperature sensor into the air distribution module.
3. Turn the temperature sensor (1) 180 degrees.
4. Ensure the electrical connector is positioned horizontally.
5. Install the mode valve (floor) actuator.
6. Install the right (passenger) side front floor air outlet.
7. Connect the front floor air outlet fastening clip.
8. Install the right (passenger) side sound insulator.
9. Connect the sound insulator positive locking tabs.
