Horn Relay: Service and Repair

The horn relay is located in the convenience center behind the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber directly below the steering column. Refer to the Label for the flasher identification.

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the self-locking screws from the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber.
2. Slide the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber upward to release the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber from the tabs.
3. Remove the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorbent
4. Remove the horn relay from the convenience center.

Installation Procedure
1. Install the horn relay to the convenience center.
2. Slide the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber downward to secure the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber to the tabs to install the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber.
3. Install the self-locking screws to the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber.

Tighten
Tighten the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber self-locking screws until fully seated. Ensure not to strip the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber self-locking screws.
