Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Remove the front oil pan. Refer to Changing Fluid and Oil Filter.
2. Remove the electrical connectors from solenoid valves (1, 2).
3. Remove the solenoid valve bolts and clip.





4. Remove force motor solenoid valve (3).
5. Remove torque converter clutch solenoid valve (4).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the torque converter clutch solenoid valve (4).
2. Install the force motor solenoid valve (3).
3. Install the solenoid valve clip and bolts.
^ Tighten the solenoid valve bolts to 10 Nm (87 inch lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





4. Install the electrical connectors to solenoid valves (1, 2).
5. Install the front oil pan. Refer to Changing Fluid and Oil Filter.
