Catalytic Converter Description

DESCRIPTION
The three way catalytic converters are emission control devices added to the exhaust system to reduce pollutants from the exhaust gas stream.

OPERATION
This vehicles uses a dual catalytic converter system. The dual catalytic converter system is a warm-up three way catalytic converter. The catalysts coatings contain the following:
^ Platinum
^ Rhodium

The three way catalyst lowers the following levels:
^ Oxides of nitrogen (N03)
^ Hydrocarbons (HO)
^ Carbon monoxide (CO)
