Circuit Operation

HORNS DESCRIPTION
Push the left or the right pads on the steering wheel sounds the horns by closing the horn relay. The horns use a solenoid-operated diaphragm to generate sound. Refer to Lighting Systems and Horns for wiring and circuit information.

HORNS CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Fuse #17 applies battery voltage at all times to horn #1 and to horn #2. Fuse #8 supplies continuous battery voltage to the horn relay K63. A ground path is provided when the horn switch is closed. This energizes the horn relay K63 and closes the contacts. A ground path is provided for both horns through the closed relay contacts. The horns will continue to sound until the horn switch is opened. The horns are also a part of the theft deterrent system.
