Drive Belt Tensioner Installation (Serpentine)

1. Install the drive belt tensioner to the engine.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





2. Install the drive belt tensioner bolts.
- Tighten the drive belt tensioner bolts to 40 Nm (30 ft lbs).

3. Route the drive belt over all except the water pump pulleys.





4. Use a wrench on the center bolt of the drive belt tensioner pulley (5) and rotate downward. Route the drive belt over the water pump pulley.
5. Tighten the water pump pulley bolts.
- Tighten the water pump pulley bolts to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs).

6. Tighten the power steering pump pulley bolts.
- Tighten the power steering pump pulley bolts to 20 Nm (15 ft lbs).
