REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Sunroof Actuator Replacement: Removal Procedure:

When you remove the sunroof actuator from the vehicle, always check for synchronization before you reinstall the sunroof.

1. Remove the glass panel.
2. Remove the headliner.
3. Remove the actuator motor.
4. Remove the drain nozzle hoses.
The drain hoses pull off the end of the nozzles.
5. Remove the bolts from the sunroof actuator.
6. Remove the sunroof actuator.
To remove the sunroof actuator you need the aid of a helper through the right rear door.
7. Remove the wind deflector.
8. Remove the sunshade panel and the slide.
9. Remove the water gutter.

Sunroof Actuator Replacement: Removal Procedure:

10. Remove the screw from the sunroof actuator cable stop.
11. Remove the sunroof actuator cable stop from the sunroof actuator.
12. Remove the slide and/or the guide from the sunroof actuator.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Sunroof Actuator Replacement: Installation Procedure:

1. Install the slide and/or the guide to the sunroof actuator.
2. Install the sunroof actuator cable stop to the sunroof actuator.
3. Install the screw to the sunroof actuator cable stop.
4. Install the water gutter.
5. Install the sunshade panel.
6. Install the wind deflector.

Sunroof Actuator Replacement: Installation Procedure:

7. Install the sunroof actuator.
Reinstall the sunroof actuator with the aid of a helper through the right rear door.
8. Install the bolts to the sunroof actuator.

Tighten
Tighten the sunroof actuator bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

9. Install the drain hoses.
10. Install the actuator motor.
11. Install the headliner.
12. Install the glass panel.
13. Inspect the hoses. The hoses may be pinched.
14. Inspect the wires. The wires may be pinched by the sunroof actuator when tighten in place.
15. Inspect the height and the centering of the glass panel in the sunroof opening.
