Frame Mount Replacement







REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Support the rear differential.
3. Scribe a reference mark on the vehicle body around the perimeter of the rear axle cradle mount to ensure proper reinstallation.
4. Remove the rear axle cradle mount to the vehicle body bolt.
5. Slightly lower the rear axle cradle.
6. Remove the rear axle cradle mount protective shield.
7. Remove the rear axle cradle mount to the rear axle cradle bolt.
8. Remove the rear axle cradle mount.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the rear axle cradle mount.

NOTICE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

2. Install the rear axle cradle mount to the rear axle cradle bolt.
^ Tighten the rear axle cradle mount to the rear axle cradle bolt to 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.).

3. Install the rear axle cradle mount protective shield.
4. Raise the rear axle cradle into place.
5. Align the rear axle cradle mounts to the reference marks previously scribed during the removal procedure.
6. Install the rear axle cradle mount to the vehicle body bolt.
^ Tighten the rear axle cradle mount to the vehicle body bolt to 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.).

7. Remove the support fixture.
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Adjust the rear toe to specifications.
