REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Latch Release Handle Replace - Rear Compartment Lid: Removal Procedure:

1. Open the rear compartment lid. Perform the following steps if the rear compartment lid is inoperable:
1.1. Fold down the rear seat.
1.2. Reach into the rear compartment to access the inside handle located on the left side upper corner of the rear compartment lid.
1.3. Open the rear compartment lid.
2. Remove the rear compartment lid finish panel.
3. Remove the rear compartment lid latch.
4. Unclip the rod from the rear compartment lid release actuator.
5. Unclip the cable end of the rear compartment lid manual release handle (5) from the rear compartment lid release latch.
6. Remove the rear compartment lid manual release handle (5).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Latch Release Handle Replace - Rear Compartment Lid: Installation Procedure:

1. Install the rear compartment lid manual release handle (5).
2. Clip the cable end of the rear compartment lid manual release handle (5) to the rear compartment lid release latch.
3. Clip the rod to the rear compartment lid release actuator.
4. Install the screws to the rear compartment lid latch.
5. Install the rear compartment lid finish panel.
6. Close the rear compartment lid.
7. Raise the rear seat cushion if previously lowered.
