REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Hood Replacement: Removal Procedure:

1. Raise the hood.
2. The windshield washer nozzle supply hose connection is located within the hood near the hinge on the left (driver's side) of the vehicle.
3. Pull the hose to expose the connection and the clip.
4. Remove the windshield washer nozzle supply hose.
5. Raise the air inlet screen for the pollen filter to access the windshield washer electrical connection.
6. Disconnect the windshield washer electrical connection.
7. Support the hood.
8. Remove the strut from the hood. Refer to Hood Strut in this section.
9. Remove the bolt from the right side of the hood hinge.
10. Remove the bolt from the left side of the hood hinge.
11. Remove the hood with the aid of a helper.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Hood Replacement: Installation Procedure:

1. Install the hood with the aid of a helper.
2. Install the first bolt to the right side of the hood hinge and install the second bolt to the left side of the hood hinge.

Tighten
Tighten the right hood bolt and tighten the left hood bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

3. Install the strut to the hood.
4. Connect the windshield washer electrical connection.
5. Close the air inlet screen for the pollen filter.
6. Install the windshield washer nozzle supply hose to the clip.
7. Re-position the washer nozzle supply hose within the hood.
8. Adjust the hood if necessary.
9. Lower the hood.
