Compact Disc Changer:
The compact disc changer is a dealer installed option available from service parts.
If the CD changer is being installed on a vehicle with the optional Delco-Bose(R) system, the CD changer wiring harness connections are already in place.
If the CD changer is being installed on a base Delco� system, the CD changer wiring harness must be installed by routing the harness from the CD changer, under the carpet retainer and up to the radio unit as outlined on the instruction sheet supplied with the CD player package.
The following functions can be controlled from the radio when a CD changer is installed:
1. DSPL
^ With the CD activated, pressing this button once will display the elapsed time.
^ Press the button again within 5 seconds in order to display the number of CDs loaded in the magazine and where the CDs are loads.
^ Press the button again in order to review what preset buttons are active.
2. FF
^ Press and hold the button in order to forward rapidly to a favorite passage.
^ Note the elapsed time displayed and release the button in order to resume playing.
^ The radio will play at a reduced volume during FF operation.
3. Preset Buttons
^ The preset buttons allow you to switch between CDs 1-12.
^ Press preset buttons 1-6 in order to switch between the first 6 CDs.
^ Press the SOURCE button until the display reads CD 7-12 in order to switch between CDs 7-12. The number 1 preset becomes CD 7, 2 becomes CD 8, and so on.
4. RDM
^ Press this button in order to play the CD tracks in a random order rather than in a sequence.
^ RDM is displayed when this mode is active.
5. REV
^ Press and hold the button in order to return rapidly to a favorite passage.
^ Note the elapsed time displayed and release the button in order to resume playing.
^ The radio will play at a reduced volume during REV operation.
6. SIDE
^ Press this button in order to advance to the next CD.
^ This function operates in consecutive order and will cycle through all of the loaded CDs.
7. SOURCE
^ Press this button in order to stop the CD and play the radio.
^ Press the button again and the CD will restart at the same stopping point.
8. TUNE/SEEK
^ Press < in order to go to the beginning of a track if more than 8 seconds have played.
^ Press > in order to hear the next track. If this button is pressed longer or more than once, the CD will continue to advance.
