ELC Commercial Chassis
The Electronic Level Control (ELC) system automatically adjusts the rear height of the vehicle in response to changes in vehicle loading.
The ELC system consists of a height sensor, an air compressor assembly, an ELC compressor relay, an intake hose with filter, an air tube, and two rear shock absorbers. The air compressor assembly consists of an air compressor and air dryer mounted on a bracket. The air compressor head is a replaceable part of the air compressor. The exhaust solenoid is a non-replaceable part of the air compressor head.
The ELC system installed on the Commercial Chassis is almost identical to the system that is installed on the K passenger vehicle. The differences between the systems are as follows:
^ Air compressor-Commercial Chassis has a higher output unit than the K passenger vehicle.
^ Height sensor-Location and mounting are different. The height sensor itself is also different.
^ Air tube-Routing and clip location are different.
^ Air pressure-System operates at higher pressures.
