CVRSS CONTROL MODULE
The CVRSS control module is used to control how firm or soft each shock or strut should be to provide the best ride. The control module is also used to control the vehicle's rear height. The control module is located on the right side of the rear seat back and is accessed through the trunk.

POSITION SENSORS
The position sensors are 0 to 5 volt DC output devices that are used to measure wheel-to-body movement/position. There are four position sensors on the vehicle, one per corner. Each position sensor is mounted between a suspension control arm and the body.

DAMPERS WITH INTEGRAL ACTUATORS
A CVRSS damper is mounted at each corner of the vehicle. The four suspension dampers (two front struts and two rear shock absorbers) each contain an integral solenoid actuator that is controlled by the CVRSS control module. The solenoid actuator provides a wide range of damping forces between soft and firm levels. Damping is controlled by the amount of current supplied to the actuator.

DAMPER CONTROL RELAY ("RTD BODY" RELAY)
This relay is used to switch battery voltage to all four of the damper actuators. The relay is located in the trunk compartment micro relay center #4. The high-side of the relay coil is connected to battery voltage through a fuse. The low-side of the relay coil is connected to the "Damper High Side Relay Enable" line of the CVRSS control module.

ELC COMPRESSOR RELAY
This relay is used to switch battery voltage to the ELC compressor motor when compressor activity is requested. The relay is located in the relay center. The high-side of the relay coil is tied to ignition through a fuse. The low-side of the relay coil is connected to the "Compressor Relay Enable" line of the CVRSS control module. The CVRSS control module switches the low-side to ground when compressor activity is required.

ELC COMPRESSOR MODULE WITH INTEGRAL EXHAUST VALVE
The compressor module is located under the vehicle at the right rear corner. The compressor module is comprised of a compressor assembly, air dryer, integral exhaust solenoid and a pressure limiter valve. The integral exhaust valve is located in the compressor head. The high-side of the exhaust coil is tied to battery and the low-side is connected to the "Exhaust Valve Enable" line of the CVRSS control module. The CVRSS control module switches this low-side to ground when exhaust or compressor activity is required.

AIR TUBE (AIR LINES)
An air tube (two air lines) is run from the output of the compressor module's air dryer to both rear air adjustable shock absorbers.
