Electronic Level Control (Commercial Chassis)









GENERAL INFORMATION
At the rear shock absorbers, the air tube connectors are held on with spring clips which snap into the grooves of the shock absorber air fittings. Air tube connectors are sealed using two O-rings.

Important: Before disconnecting any air tube, clean the connector and the surrounding area to prevent dirt and other foreign material from entering the Electronic Level Control (ELC) system.

To disconnect an air tube from a shock absorber, rotate the spring clip 90° out of slots and pull the connector from the shock absorber.

Important: Ensure that the air tube is routed correctly and all fasteners are used.

To connect an air tube to a shock absorber, lubricate the two O-rings using silicone lubricant, rotate spring clip 90° into slots, and push air tube connector on shock absorber fitting until spring clip snaps into fitting groove.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Air tube (1) from air dryer (2).
2. Air tube (1) and two clips (6) from air compressor bracket (4).
3. Both rear wheels.
4. RH side of air tube (1) from two clips (7) and RH rear shock absorber (5).
5. LH side of air tube (1) from two clips (8) and LH rear shock absorber (5).
6. Air tube (1) with two clips (D) from vehicle.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Air tube (1) to air dryer (2).
2. RH side of air tube ( 1) with two clips (6) to air compressor bracket (4).
3. LH side of air tube (1) with two clips (D) on vehicle suspension support assembly.

RH side of air tube (1) in two clips (7) and on RH rear shock absorber (5).
5. LH side of air tube (1) in two clips (8) and on LH rear shock absorber (5).
6. Both rear wheels.

Important: Before driving vehicle, turn ignition on and wait approximately 45 seconds. This will permit the ELC system to execute the Air Replenishment Cycle (ARC) ensuring that the air adjustable shock absorbers are filled with, at least, residual pressure.
