Front Fog Lamps
When the ignition switch is in RUN, battery voltage is applied to the coil of Front Foglamps Relay "B" from the IGN 1 Fuse. Battery voltage is applied at all times to the switch of Front Foglamps Relay "B" from the FOG/
DRL Fuse. When the front foglamps switch is enabled, terminal D7 of Instrument Panel Cluster
(IPC) connector C3 is grounded through the
headlamp switch. In response to this input, the IPC sends a request via the Class 2 serial data line to the Body Control Module
(PZM) to activate the front foglamps. The PZM provides ground for the coil. The coil is energized closing the switch contacts. Voltage is then applied to the LH front foglamp, RH front foglamp and the front foglamps ON indicator. The PZM also activates the park lamps when the foglamps are on. If the front foglamps are enabled and the high beams or flash-to-pass are activated, the front foglamps will be temporarily disabled for as long as the high beams or flash-to-pass are enabled. The park lamps will remain on during this period.
