Diagnostic Parameters & Displays
SCAN TOOL DATA DISPLAY^ The Commanded Blower Speed is displayed as a percent (%) from 0 to 100.
^ The Rear Blower Feedback is displayed in blower switch position.
^ The Lower Door Commanded is displayed as a percent (%) from 0 to 100.
^ The Lower Door Actual Feedback is displayed as a percent (%) from 0 to 100.
^ The Upper Door Commanded is displayed as a percent (%) from 0 to 100.
^ The Upper Door Actual is displayed as a percent (%) from 0 to 100.
^ The In-Vehicle Temperature is displayed in degrees Celsius or degrees Fahrenheit.
^ The Outside Air Temperature is displayed in degrees Celsius or degrees Fahrenheit. This value represents the actual air temperature at the Outside Air Temperature sensor. This is a non-filtered value, a value not adjusted for engine heat.
^ The High Side Temperature is displayed in degrees Celsius or degrees Fahrenheit.
^ The Evaporator Inlet Temperature is displayed in degrees Celsius or degrees Fahrenheit.
^ Commanded Cooling Fan.
^ The Coolant Temperature is displayed is in degrees Celsius and degrees Fahrenheit. This value is sent from the PCM. If the coolant temperature sensor circuit malfunctions a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will set and the PCM will send a "Failsoft" value for display.
^ The commanded Air Delivery Mode can be viewed by the scan tool.
^ The Sun Load Sensor is displayed in counts from 0 to 255. Zero represents bright, while 255 represents dark.
^ The Ignition Cycle Value is the number of times that the Air Conditioning Programmer (ACM) has been turned "OFF" since an ACM DTC was last detected. After 50 ignition cycles without any malfunction being detected, this value is reset.
SCAN TOOL INPUT DISPLAY
^ Low Refrigerant Pressure Switch input displays "LO" when the system is low on refrigerant.
^ High Refrigerant Pressure Switch input displays "HI" when a high pressure condition is present.
^ A/C Possible input displays if all of the conditions for compressor engagement is possible
^ Dual Zone Switch input displays whether or not dual zone has been requested.
ACM TESTS WITH SCAN TOOL
The following components can be tested with the scan tool to verify proper operation:
^ High And Low Cooling Fans.
^ Recirc. Solenoid (Air Inlet Solenoid).
^ A/C Defrost Solenoid.
^ Air Up Solenoid (I/P Outlets).
^ Air Down Solenoid (Heater Outlet).
^ Park Brake Release.
^ Outside Temperature.
^ Upper Motor (Drivers Air Temperature Actuator).
^ Lower Motor (Passenger Air Temperature Actuator).
^ Blower Speed.
ACM OPEN AND SHORT DATA WITH SCAN TOOL
The following components can be viewed to determine if the circuit is either open or shorted.
^ In-Vehicle Temperature Sensor.
^ Outside Temperature Sensor.
^ High Side Temperature Sensor.
^ Evaporator Inlet Temperature Sensor.
^ Sun Load Temperature Sensor.
^ Coolant Temperature Sensor.
