Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC)
The Air Conditioning Programmer (ACM) and Climate Control Panel (CCP) contains Self Diagnostics that, when accessed either by on-boards or with a scan tool, are designed to identify the source of any system malfunction as specifically as possible, including whether or not the malfunction is current or the non-current (history) type.
On-boards only allow the viewing and clearing of the DTC's. Any tests or overrides must be performed with the Scan Tool.
There are 19 ACM diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) to assist with diagnosis. The codes are as follows:
DTC B1310: Outside Air Temperature Sensor Open Circuit.
DTC B1311: Outside Air Temperature Sensor Short Circuit.
DTC B1312: A/C High Side Temperature Sensor Open Circuit.
DTC B1313: A/C High Side Temperature Sensor Short Circuit.
DTC B1314: Evaporator Inlet Temperature Sensor Open Circuit.
DTC B1315: Evaporator Inlet Temperature Sensor Short Circuit.
DTC B1316: In-Vehicle Temperature Sensor Open Circuit.
DTC B1317: In-Vehicle Temperature Sensor Short Circuit.
DTC B1318: Sun Load Sensor Open Circuit.
DTC B1319: Sun Load Sensor Short Circuit.
DTC B1340: Air Mix Door #1 Movement Failure.
DTC B1341: Air Mix Door #2 Movement Failure.
