CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The Memory Seat Module (MSM) supplies voltage to the seat and lumbar motors when it receives an input to move the seats. This input may be a manual switch or a recall function.
CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
^ This DTC will set only if DTC MSM B1982 or DTC MSM B1983 is not current.
^ The MSM will set the DTC when only one seat motor is being driven and the motor's current draw is greater than 45A.
ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
All seat movement is stopped.
CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE MIL/DTC
The MSM does not detect the seat motor failure during the last monitoring cycle.

The numbers below refer to step numbers on the diagnostic table.
1. Tests forward/back motor.
6. Tests rear height motor.
11. Tests front height motor.
16. Tests recline motor.
21. Tests in/out lumbar motor.
26. Tests up/down lumbar motor.
