B2101- B2108 MMM - Mirror

DTC MMM B2101-B2108:

DTC MMM B2101-B2108:

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
For DeVille, the Memory Mirror Module (MMM) receives inputs from the LH seat switch. When a switch is operated, it becomes grounded. The MMM recognizes the input and sends a Class 2 message to the Memory Seat Module (MSM). The MSM then moves the seat in the appropriate direction.

When any seat manual positioning switch input continues to be active for 30 seconds after motion in the requested direction has ceased, the switch will be considered shorted. If a seat position sensor DTC is currently set and a switch, in the direction associated with the suspect sensor has been active for 30 seconds, the switch will be considered shorted.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
The MMM will set the appropriate DTC an time it detects a switch failure.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
^ The motor output being driven in response to the suspect switch will be de-activated.
^ The MMM will continue to respond to valid inputs from the other manual switches.
^ All memory recall commands will be ignored.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE MIL/DTC
The MMM does not detect the switch failure during the last monitoring cycle.

TEST DESCRIPTION
The numbers below refer to step numbers on the diagnostic table.
1. This test determines whether there is a stuck switch or a short to ground in the input wiring to the Memory Seat Module (MMM). If there is a short to ground in the wiring, the DTC should set again. If there is a stuck switch, the DTC should not set again because the LH seat switch is disconnected.
