B1972
Circuit Description:
Modules under "Controlled Power" are supplied power through the "Controlled Power Relay." The "High Power Control" output is grounded whenever the PZM is awake and for 15 minutes after the ignition switch is turned to the "LOCK" position. After the 15 minutes elapse the "Low Power Driver Output" is turned "ON." The "Low Power Driver Output" will supply up to 2 amps of current for up to 3 days. If the PZM detects that more than 2 amps are needed, it win wake-up and turn "ON" the "High Power Control" output.
The PZM measures the voltage at the "Low Power Driver Output" every 300ms while the PZM is in "Low Power Mode."
DTC Will Set When:
The "Low Power Driver Output" is "low" after two consecutive monitoring cycles.
Action Taken (By PZM):
The PZM will turn the "Low Power Driver Output" "OFF" until the state of the Ignition changes or the PZM "wakes-up."
DTC Will Clear When:
The Ignition state changes or the PZM "wakes-up."
