B1558

Circuit Description:
At the beginning of the ignition cycle, the PZM performs a test to determine whether the EEPROM has been corrupted by adding the checksum of the EEPROM Block and that Block's "twos complement."

DTC Will Set When:
The value of the addition does not Equal zero.

Action Taken (By PZM):
The PZM will Clear all DTCs, log DTC B1558 as current and default to the following values:
Personalization Factory default
Ignition Cycle Counter 0
Theft Alarm Condition Cleared

Troubleshooting Hints:
If DTC B1558 is set, clear DTCs and cycle the ignition. If DTC B1558 is still current replace the PZM.
