B1552 Loss of PZM Keep Alive Memory (KAM)
Circuit Description
DTC B1552 indicates that the keep Alive - or "long term" -memory in the PZM has been reset. It is a Normal occurrence whenever power or ground is removed from the PZM, such as battery disconnected and reconnected.
Action Taken (By PZM):
PZM memory is reset to Initial values. The PZM will initialize the KAM contents to default:
Fuel Level Empty
Afterblow Mode Disable
Afterblow Alarm Disable
Controlled Power Timer Set to full time
Power Down Hours Clear
Storage Mode State Disable
Key Cylinder State Inactive
Driver Door Jamb Closed
Other Doors Jamb Closed
Ignition State Current State
Troubleshooting Hints:
If DTC B 1552 sets without a battery disconnect, ensure good terminal contacts at PZM Connector C1 terminals "A12" and "B3."
