Security, Safety Belt, Left and Right Turn

Wiring Diagram:

SECURITY

The SECURITY telltale is directly controlled by the Universal Theft Deterrent and PASS-key II(R) modules. Power for the telltale is pulled from the IPC Battery input (pin "C12", CKT 812). Refer to ANTITHEFT AND ALARM SYSTEMS for diagnosis. Antitheft and Alarm Systems

SAFETY BELT

The SAFETY BELT telltale is directly controlled by the Chime module. Power for the telltale is supplied by the Chime module at IPC pin "A3" (CKT 237). The telltale is always grounded by the IPC single point ground (pin "A5", CKT 804).

LEFT TURN

The LEFT TURN telltale is illuminated by the IPC any time the left turn signal input (parameter II90 - pin "D11", CKT 14) is "HI". Power and ground are provided internally by the IPC.

(IF EXTERIOR LIGHTS ARE NOT FUNCTIONING, REFER TO DIAGRAMS FOR DIAGNOSIS)

Select IPC diagnostic parameter II90 with left turn signal activated:

If II90 remains Lo Repair open in CKT 14

If II90 toggles Lo/Hi Replace IPC

RIGHT TURN

The RIGHT TURN telltale is illuminated by the IPC any time the left turn signal input (1191 - pin "D9", CKT 15) is "HI". Power and ground are provided internally by the IPC.

DIAGNOSIS:

IF EXTERIOR LIGHTS ARE NOT FUNCTIONING, REFER TO DIAGRAMS FOR DIAGNOSIS.

INOPERATIVE:

Select IPC diagnostic parameter II91 with right turn signal activated:

If II91 remains Lo Repair open in CKT 15

If II91 toggles Lo/Hi Replace IPC

"TURN SIGNAL ON" MESSAGE

The "TURN SIGNAL ON" message is set whenever the turn signal (left or right) is turned "ON" for at least one mile.
