Brakes, Engine, Inflatable Restraint and Cruise

BRAKE

The BRAKE telltale is directly controlled by switches in the vehicle. Power for the telltale is pulled from the IPC Ignition 1 input (pin "C13", CKT 39). Refer to DIAGRAMS.

SERVICE ENGINE SOON

The SERVICE ENGINE SOON telltale is directly controlled by the Engine Control Module (PCM). Power for the telltale is pulled from the IPC Ignition 1 input (pin "C13", CKT 39). Refer to COMPUTERS AND CONTROL SYSTEMS. Computers and Control Systems

ANTILOCK BRAKE

The ANTILOCK BRAKE telltale is directly controlled by the Antilock Brake System (ABS) module. Power for the telltale is pulled from the IPC Ignition 1 input (pin "C13", CKT 39). Refer to BRAKES AND TRACTION CONTROL for diagnosis. Brakes and Traction Control

INFLATABLE RESTRAINT

The AIR BAG telltale is directly controlled by the Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM). Power for the telltale is pulled from the IPC Ignition 1 input (pin "C13", CKT 39). Refer to Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) SYSTEMS. Air Bag Systems

CRUISE ENGAGED

The CRUISE ENGAGED telltale is a vacuum fluorescent display controlled by the IPC. The telltale is illuminated at any time that the PCM indicates (via serial data to the IPC) that the cruise control system in engaged.
