Diagnostic Trouble Code P092:

Heated Windshield Circuit:

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this diagnostic test is to detect a problem with the Heated Windshield circuit to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). When the circuit is grounded by the Heated Windshield module, the PCM will increase idle speed to compensate for electrical load placed on the generator. When the PCM detects the heated windshield request present for 10 minutes, Code PO92 is set.

TEST CONDITIONS
Engine running

FAILURE CONDITIONS
Heated windshield request present at the PCM for more than 10 minutes.

ACTION TAKEN
PCM turns "ON" the "Service Vehicle Soon" message.
