Wiring Diagram:

DTC A050 sets whenever the engine coolant temperature Air Conditioning Programmer (ACP) data parameter A021 exceeds 126°C (258°F). This DTC remains current until the engine coolant temperature falls below 118°C (240°F). The ACP receives coolant temperature information from the PCM via the serial (UART) data line. When DTC A050 is current, the ACP disengages the A/C compressor clutch and the Driver Information Center (DIC) displays message "ENGINE HOT - A/C COMPRESSOR OFF" to warn the operator. NOTES ON INTERMITTENT CONNECTION
If an intermittent DTC is being set, select ACP Snapshot Data for DTC and note value of ACP data parameter. Manipulate the related wiring while observing ACP data parameter. If a failure is induced, the displayed data parameter value will be outside the sensors normal operating range.
