Camshaft Secondary Timing Chains

CAMSHAFT SECONDARY TIMING CHAINS

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Front cover.
2. LH cam cover .
3. Align timing marks first.
4. LH secondary chain tensioner.

Chain Guide Access Plugs:

5. LH chain guide. Access upper chain guide mounting bolt through hole in cylinder head cover with plastic plug.
6. LH cam sprocket bolts and sprockets.

Camshaft Secondary Drive Chain:

7. Secondary drive chain.
8. Repeat steps two through six if RH chain is being replaced.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. For secondary drive chain installation, follow the camshaft timing procedure. When complete continue with steps in this procedure.
2. Front cover.
3. Cam cover(s).
