S055
Important
Since the resistor module is receiving high current, this unit will get very hot [up to 250°C (480°F)]. Care should be used when servicing or working around this component.
TEST CONDITIONS:
The RSS module monitors the Hold circuit after a commanded on to off state. The module expects to see the circuit high.
FAULT CONDITIONS:
If the RSS module sees the circuit low, a code is set.
ACTION TAKEN:
Set code, turn on "SERVICE RIDE CONTROL" message, command all four dampers to full firm.
DESCRIPTION:
Resistor module errors are detected via the boost and hold feedback signals. The RSS module continually monitors these signals and compares the feedback to the requested boost or hold signal. This code will set when the Hold feedback signal does not match the commanded signal.
NOTES ON FAULT TREE:
1. Refer to notes on intermittents. To diagnose this condition:
^ Enter output cycling
^ Manipulate affected wiring
^ Recheck for codes.
DO NOT BACKPROBE SENSORS OR DAMPERS.
WHEN ALL DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIRS ARE COMPLETE, CLEAR CODES AND VERIFY OPERATION.
