Wheel Alignment - Steering Wheel Angle and/or Front Toe Adjustment

1. If equipped with NJ1 (Electronic Power Steering), and the steering angle sensor was recentered, the steering stops must be relearned. Refer to Steering Angle Sensor Centering Procedures.




2. Ensure that the steering wheel is set in a straight ahead position.

3. Loosen the tie rod jam nut (1).

4. Adjust the toe to specification by turning the inner tie rod (2). Refer to Wheel Alignment Specifications Specifications.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

5. Tighten the tie rod jam nut (1) to 60 Nm (44 lb ft).
