Clutch Release Bearing Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the transmission.




2. Remove pressure line fastening sleeve (1).

1. Unlatch fastening sleeve for pressure line on clutch housing (arrows).
2. Draw fastening sleeve out of transmission slightly.
3. Detach fastening sleeve for pressure line.
4. Carefully unlatch 2x retaining lug (3).




3. Remove central release (1) with hydraulic line.
Remove 3x fasteners (arrow).

Installation Procedure




1. Clean 3x thread (1) in transmission.

Note: Note installation position.

2. Install fastening sleeve for pressure line.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

Note: Use new bolts.

It is essential to avoid pulling the central release at an angle.

3. Install central release (1) with hydraulic line.

1. Clip hydraulic line in sleeve.
2. Lightly coat seal ring in central release with transmission fluid.
3. Preassemble 3 fasteners evenly in contact with the flange.
4. Tighten the 3 fasteners from central release (arrow) to 6 Nm (53.1 lb in).

4. Install the transmission.
