PROCEDURE
This Service Information is intended to provide diagnostic hints for known areas that may cause wind noises. If there are other areas that cause wind noise that are not listed in this Service Information, submit a PuMA Info Only case with pictures, and it will be included in the next revision.

Gather the basic wind noise information from the customer:

^ Road speed

^ Front seat position

^ Rear seat position

^ Side window position

^ Sunroof position

^ HVAC settings

^ Where the customer perceives the wind noise

Before going for a validation test drive, visually check the vehicle for obvious faults that can clearly be seen:

^ Gutter strip - protruding or fitment

^ Window guides - wavy or fitment

^ Window frame cover - protruding or fitment

^ Side window fitment

^ Door seal fitment

^ Roof trim strip loose

^ Sunroof seal fitment at the corners

Refer to the attachment. This will provide you with pictures detailing which areas to target.
