51 71 100 Replacing All Cooling Air Routings For Radiator
Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove support for front bumper panel
- Remove bottom support for front bumper panel
Not in the case of 12-cylinder models:
Undo screw connection (1) on V-braces (2).
Tightening torque 51 61 6AZ.
Only in the case of 12-cylinder models:
Undo screw connection (2) on V-braces.
Tightening torque 51 61 6AZ.
Undo bolt (1) on V-brace (3) on left or right.
Tightening torque 51 11 7AZ.
Manoeuvre out V-support (3) upwards.
Unclip hose pipe (2) for headlight cleaning system at marked points and set down safely.
Installation note:
Hose pipe (2) for headlight washer system high-pressure nozzle (right) must be correctly clipped into place at marked points.
Release screws (2) on brake air duct (1).
Remove brake air duct (1) in direction of arrow.
NOTE: Carry out work on the right side in the same way as for the left side illustrated here.
Release screws (1) on cross-member (2).
Tightening torque 51 11 2AZ.
Release screws (1) on vertical connection (2).
Remove vertical connection (2).
Tightening torque 51 11 2AZ.
Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Unfasten screws (2).
Feed out cooling air routing (3).
Installation note:
Make sure air intake duct (1) is correctly fitted on cooling air routing (2)
