Damage to Side Airbag Trim Mount on Front Seat

SITUATION
The side airbag trim mount on the left or right seat is separated (damaged). The damage occurred during a previous seat repair.

CORRECTION
This information is provided only as a repair hint to avoid further damage to the side airbag trim.





When repairing a problem in the back seat area that requires removal of the side airbag on the front seat, you must follow ISTA Repair Instruction REP 72 12 050, "Removing and installing side airbag (front seat)."

Important:
If the situation as described above is present, do not attempt to repair the trim. In this case, the side airbag MUST be replaced.
