Noise from Front Windshield

SITUATION
When driving at varying road speeds, a wind or whistling noise may be heard coming from the windshield at the A-pillars.
CAUSE
The gap between the drip molding and the A-pillar is excessive or uneven.
PROCEDURE
1. Confirm the noise is coming from the front windshield, near the left and/or right A-pillar area.
2. If a gap is seen between the affected A-pillar and the drip molding. the molding must be replaced. Refer to ISTA Repair Instruction 51 31 030, "Remove and install or replace the left or right side gutter strip." Install the replacement drip molding with the new blue colored clips listed below.
