51 11 770 Removing And Installing/Replacing Left Or Right Deformation Element For Front Bumper Panel







Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove support for front bumper panel
- Remove the support for the front bottom bumper panel
- Remove air intake silencer housing







Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 51 23 1AZ.
Unfasten screws (2).
Tightening torque 51 11 14AZ.
Lay the engine compartment lock (3) on the top.







Disconnect plug connection and cable clip from fanfare if necessary.
Release screw (1).
Tightening torque 51 11 7AZ.
Release screws (3).
Tightening torque 51 11 3AZ.
Release screw (4).
Tightening torque 51 11 6AZ.
Detach deformation element (2) from air duct in area (A) and feed out.







Replacement:
Release screws (1) on both sides and remove bracket (2).
Tightening torque 51 11 2AZ.
Release screws (3) and remove lower deformation element (2).
Tightening torque 51 11 5AZ.

When replacing lower deformation element:
Release blind rivet from damper (4).
