51 71 482 Removing And Installing/Replacing Left Or Right Tension Strut (On Rear Axle)







IMPORTANT:
- Observe safety informations for raising the vehicle
- Driving without the trailing link is not permitted.







Left tension strut:
Release bolts (1, 3, 4, 5) and remove trailing link (2).

Installation note:
Replace screw (1,3,4,5).
Make sure screws are installed in correct positions.

- Screw (1) M12x35
Tightening torque 51 71 21AZ.

- Bolt (3) M10x40
Tightening torque 51 71 20AZ.

- Screw (4) to 07/09 M12x50 from 07/09 M12x35
Tightening torque 51 71 23AZ.

- Screw (5) to 07/09 M12x50 from 07/09 M12x35
Tightening torque 51 71 23AZ.







Right tension strut:

NOTE: Remove left trailing link.

Loosen bolt (1, 3) and remove right trailing link (2).

Installation note:
Replace screws (1,3).
Make sure screws are installed in correct positions.

- Screw (1)
M12x35
Tightening torque 51 71 21AZ.

- Screw (3) to 07/09 M12x50 from 07/09 M12x35
Tightening torque 51 71 23AZ.
