For the following tasks, you must take the appropriate measures to support the engine compartment lid.
As an alternative, you can enlist the help of a second person to hold the engine compartment lid.







Operations on right side analogous to left side shown. Use graphics in a mirror-inverted way.







If necessary, open engine compartment lid.
Carry out ball socket removal at both ends (1) of gas pressure spring (2).
Set down gas pressure spring (2).
