High-voltage Battery Discharges while Driving
MODEL
F04 (ActiveHybrid 7)
SITUATION
The high-voltage battery discharges while driving at a constant speed and/or when cruise control is operating at a speed of approximmiles per hour.
If the fault condition persists long enough, the following fault code memory entries are recorded and the high-voltage system is switched off if the minimum charge threshold is not reached:
DME: 213901 "Consumer reduction: active"
EME: 21EFAE "EME: HV switch-off due to discharge protection
CAUSE
Non-BMW approved or incorrectly sized wheels and tires are installed on the vehicle.
PROCEDURE
Refer to KSD to verify the correct wheels and tires are installed on the vehicle. Install only BMW approved wheels and tires on vehicles that are found to have incorrect wheels and tires installed.
