31 35 000 Removing and Installing/Replacing Front Stabilizer

31 35 000 - Removing and installing/replacing front stabilizer





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove front assembly underside protection 51 47 490 Removing and Installing/Replacing Front Underbody Protection
- Remove front V-struts 51 61 011 - Removing and installing/replacing V-strut, front axle carrier, left or right
- Remove both stabilizer links from stabilizer 31 35 005 Removing and Installing/Replacing Push Rod (Stabilizer Link) For Left/Right Stabilizer





Unscrew nuts (1).
Tightening torque 31 35 1AZ 31 35 Stabilizer Bar (Front Axle).
Remove stabilizer; if necessary, press off from engine carrier with a suitable tool.

Installation:
Check rubber mount on both sides for damage 31 35 040 Replacing Rubber Mount For Stabilizer On Body On Left Or Right, replace if necessary.
Replace self-locking nuts.





Replacement:
Remove rubber mount on both sides from stabilizer 31 35 040 Replacing Rubber Mount For Stabilizer On Body On Left Or Right.
