Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative terminal 61 20 900 Disconnecting and Connecting Battery Negative Lead
- Remove carrier 51 11 050 Removing and Installing/Replacing Carrier For Front Bumper Trim for bumper trim at front
- Remove headlight [1][2]63 12 010 Removing and Installing or Replacing Left Headlight (Xenon Headlight)
- Remove front panel V-support 51 64 010 Removing and Installing/Replacing Left Or Right V-Support
- Remove cross-member upper section 51 64 035 Removing and Installing/Replacing Cross-Member Upper Section (Connection of Both Front Wheel Arches)
- Remove front bumper mounting 51 64 040 Removing and Installing/Replacing Front Bumper Mounting
- Remove hood/bonnet lock
- Remove sensor 65 77 534 Removing and Installing/Replacing Front Right Sensor (Acceleration Sensor)
- Remove fanfare horn, right side 61 33 040 Removing and Installing/Replacing a Fanfare Horn
- Remove oil cooler, left side (N54) Removing and Installing/Replacing Engine Oil Cooler





Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 51 64 1AZ [1][2]Specifications.
Remove headlight mounting (2).
