61 31 342 - Removing and installing/replacing gear selector switch





Important!

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative lead 61 20 900 Disconnecting and Connecting Battery Negative Lead
- Remove center console trim 51 16 160 Removing and Installing/Replacing Centre Console Trim (Gear Selector Switch)





Release screws (1). Tightening torque 51 16 2AZ [1][2][3]51 16 Mirrors, Finishers, Ashtrays, Consoles.
Raise gear selector switch carrier (2) and disconnect all plug connections.
Remove gear selector switch carrier (2).





Remove trim for gear selector switch [1][2]61 31 336 Removing And Installing/Replacing Trim For Gear Selector Switch.
Release screws (1). Tightening torque 61 31 4AZ [1][2]Shifter A/T.
Remove gear selector switch (2) from gear selector switch carrier (3).





Replacement:
Carry out vehicle programming/coding Programming and Relearning.
