Test manoeuvre for troubleshooting on Dynamic Drive:

Test manoeuvre 1:
- Steer slightly around middle on even road
- Hitting, knocking noises
- From which areas do the noises seem to come? (front end, footwell, ...?)
- Does the noise increase at increasing temperature?

Test manoeuvre 2:
- Drive straight ahead with roadway excitation (without changing position of steering wheel)
- Ratting noises?
- From which areas do the noises seem to come? (front end, footwell, ...?)
- Does the noise increase at increasing temperature?

Check hydraulic lines:
Hydraulic lines installed twisted:
Check whether hydraulic lines are installed in holders twisted (when system is depressurized, hydraulic lines must be guided in holders virtually without elastic distortion of decoupling elements)

Line clips loose:
Check whether line clips are correctly screwed and holder halves are correctly engaged

Line holders on hydraulic lines missing or fitted in incorrect position
Check whether line clips are present in accordance with repair instructions and fitted in correct position

Check minimum distance in case of hydraulic clearance (insufficient clearance):
First check minimum distance (A) = 3 mm between control line (1) and swivel motor (2). Then check control line (3) for minimum distance (B) = 8 mm to control line (1).See also repair instructions 3711010

Check screw connection:
Check screw connection at set point torque for tight fit. Set point torques are set out in the repair instructions.

Check play:
Ball joints: Carefully lever out the ball joint with a suitable tool.

Check pressure line:
Check Dynamic Drive pressure line between power steering pump and valve block to see if it is crushed or bent.
