65 12 200 Removing And Installing (replacing) Audio System Controller







IMPORTANT:
Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD protection).
Comply with notes and instructions on handling optical fibres.







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Clamp off battery negative lead
- Remove middle trim for instrument panel







NOTE: Work is shown on the E60 by way of example. There may be differences in detail in the case of other car models.







IMPORTANT: Do not scratch Center console trim, cover if necessary.

Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 65 52 6AZ.
Pull back audio system controller (2) slightly.
Disconnect associated plug connections.
Remove audio system controller (2).







Replacement:
Carry out vehicle programming/encoding.
