Steering Mounted Controls Communication Module: Service and Repair

61 31 231 Removing And Installing/renewing Steering Wheel Electronics Control Unit







IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD protection).







Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove both multifunction steering wheel switches







Remove control unit for steering wheel electronics (1) from steering wheel (2) in direction of arrow.







Disconnect plug connection (1).
Remove steering wheel electronics control unit (2).

Installation note:
Make sure electronic steering wheel module (2) is fitted correctly.
