72 11 033 Removing and installing/replacing front left or right seat belt







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove panel for door post







Move backrest to full rearward position.
Unclip release tab (2) for belt end fitting trim (1) with plastic wedge.







Release screw (1).
Tightening torque: 72 11 2AZ.
Disconnect end fitting (2).

Installation note:
Make sure end fitting is correctly seated on seat mechanism pin.







Release screws (1).
Tightening torque: 72 11 4AZ.
Remove deflector bar (2).
Release screw (3).
Tightening torque: 72 11 5AZ. 00 00 Excerpt From Company Standard BMW GS 90003-2
Set down belt deflector with seat belt (4).







Release screw (1).
Tightening torque: 72 11 1AZ.
Unlock plug connection (4) and disconnect.
Remove inertia reel unit (3).

Installation note:
Encoding (2) of inertia reel must be seated in body recess.







Installation note:
Free spaces of (A) and (B) from the seat belt strap to the guide funnel must be of the same size.
