Coolant Reservoir: Service and Repair

17 11 100 Removing and installing/replacing coolant expansion tank (N55, N52T, N47 D20 O 1, N57 D30 O 1)







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Drain coolant.







Unlock and detach coolant hose (2).
Pull expansion tank (1) upward out of retaining bracket.







Release and detach coolant hose (1) under expansion tank.
Unlock connector (2) on coolant level switch and disconnect.
Remove expansion tank.

Installation note:
Make sure guide pin (3) is fitted correctly in rubber grommet (4).







Assemble engine.
Top up coolant.
Check cooling system for leak tightness.
