Vehicles with option codes 302 (Anti-theft Alarm System) and 402 (Panoramic Sunroof)
SITUATION
The DWA (Anti-theft Alarm System) triggers a false alarm when the sunroof is raised.
CAUSE
The situation described in this Service Information bulletin is caused by a software error in the DWA control module in conjunction with sunroof operation.
PROCEDURE
Do not replace any parts.
Perform a vehicle test using ISTA (Integrated Service Technical Application) D2.27 or higher. If there is a fault in the system, follow the test plan recommendations.
Note:
When the ISTA system message displays
Battery voltage only "XX.XX" V. Please connect charger.
Please note the displayed battery voltage reading in the repair order comments section.
If there are no faults in the system, update the DWA software using ISTA P2.43.2 or higher.
Note:
ISTA/P will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software.
